Wood Firing Schedule for 2012 

Some things of note....

As in past years, you are welcome to bring work to fire.   Please be sure to use Cone 10 clay and that your work is bisque fired.  The charge is $0.01 per cubic inch for each piece you wish to fire, so, for example, a 10" tall by 3" diameter cylinder would cost $0.71 to fire.   Some folks may wish to barter for the firing cost and I can certainly be bought (beer works wonders) so bartering obviously works for me.

Of course all who wish to help with the firing are welcome and we can schedule you a time slot to come assist feeding the dragon since the firing does take over 24 hours or you can just come by to hang out.

Aug 20   Deadline to deliver work to be fired
Aug 30   Kiln loading is completed and Kiln is
               sealed
Seep 07 -08   Firing begins, night firing,
                        cone 10  wood
Sep 11   Kiln is unloaded at 5:00PM


Oct 23  Deadline to deliver work to be fired
Oct 25  Kiln loading is completed and Kiln is
               sealed
Oct 26   Firing begins, cone 6 gas
